There are two football pitches in Tenero, near to the National Youth Sports Centre.
The centre itself also caters for football, but only for groups and players registered with it.
There is also a football pitch higher up the valley, at Brione Verzasca, next to the cantonal road. It is owned by the Associazione Sportiva Verzaschese.
