Rules for using the refuges
There are rules that it is impossible to put down in writing, yet every mountain lover knows them. They are the rules of respect, hospitality and friendship, which we hope you will want to experience and indeed will experience at first hand in "our mountains".

Nonetheless, allow us to remind you of the following:

  • Always enter your name immediately in the refuge's visitors' book and state your destination.
  • If requested, show your membership card (of one of the clubs or associations listed above).
  • Pay the charge for using the refuge as soon as you are asked.
  • Do not use the refuges' blankets and mattresses outdoors.
  • Do not take dogs or any other animals into the refuges.
  • There is a strict ban on smoking.
  • Do not disturb others' peace and quiet or their sleep. There is to be absolute silence after 22:00.
  • Clean up all pots, pans, kitchen sinks, etc. immediately after you have cooked your meal, so that other guests can then do their cooking in turn too.
  • Crockery must be washed immediately.
  • If a warden happens to be present, he or she is not obliged to cook, clean or wash up for you. If a warden does help you in any of these ways, it is solely as a courtesy to you.
  • Keep everything clean and tidy both in the refuge and around it on the outside.
  • Clean and tidy everything up before leaving. Make sure that all cookers have been turned off and that any other naked flames have been extinguished. Make sure that all the doors and windows are shut. Take all your litter with you and dispose of it down in the valley.
