The route (whose markings are removed after the day of the race) starts in Lodrino (in the Riviera Valley), climbs to Legri (600 metres above sea level), Grei (1100 metres above sea level), Alva (1570 metres above sea level), Negrös (1750 metres above sea level), Alpe Stüell (1910 metres above sea level) and Forcella di Lodrino (2200 metres above sea level), from where it descends again to Lavertezzo (536 metres above sea level), passing Fümegna (1810 metres above sea level) and Pincasca (1155 metres above sea level).
The reason the markings are removed for the rest of the year is that the route does not form part of the official network.
